On Appeal processes the information you choose to submit so it can organize the record, prepare customer-led appeal materials, and help you decide what to do next.

On Appeal is a service operated by Fieldstone Client Services LLC (“Fieldstone”). Fieldstone is responsible for On Appeal’s privacy and data practices.

What we collect

We may collect your name and contact details; the company or organization involved; your account of what happened; your requested outcome; your general location; your scope-screening answers; documents you upload; company responses you later add; and On Appeal’s review, draft, guidance, communication, outcome, and optional feedback records.

How we use it

We use submitted information to conduct a preliminary scope and case review; organize facts and chronology; identify missing documentation; compare the record with publicly available company policies and written terms; prepare drafts; suggest ordinary customer-service channels; review a company’s response; maintain a structured case record; communicate with you; protect the service; improve our process; and meet applicable operational obligations.

Limited first-party site measurement

The Site records one anonymous visit identifier for the current browser tab session, a broad page category, referral domain, and optional campaign labels. This measurement does not use a tracking cookie, store the referring page address, or include your name, email, case narrative, uploaded documents, private case link, IP address, or browser fingerprint in the analytics record. A Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal disables this visit event. The records are used to understand which broad sources lead to suitable cases and whether the service is operating sustainably.

What the “Appeals Engine” means

The Appeals Engine is Fieldstone’s internal structured review and case- management workflow. It may use software-assisted tools to organize customer-supplied information, compare public policies, help generate drafts, and prepare guidance. On Appeal does not use your narrative or uploaded documents to train artificial-intelligence models. Improving the Appeals Engine means refining the service’s workflow and review criteria, not turning customer files into AI training data.

Do not send highly sensitive information

Redact medical records, Social Security numbers, full payment-card numbers, bank credentials, passwords, authentication codes, and other highly sensitive information before uploading. If a document contains an account number, ordinarily leave only the last four digits visible.

How information is stored

Case details are kept in the Site’s structured case database. Uploaded files are kept in private file storage. Access to the internal case area is restricted to authorized administrators. A long, case-specific link may be provided so you can add a company response; anyone with that link may be able to reach the response page, so keep it private.

Sharing and company communications

We do not sell your case information. Information may be processed by service providers needed to host, secure, and operate the On Appeal service. Fieldstone does not send your information or messages to a company or organization on your behalf. You choose what to send and communicate directly from your own account or email.

Retention and requests

We keep beta case records while they are reasonably needed to review the submission, provide the requested tools or guidance, evaluate outcomes, protect the service, and maintain necessary records. To ask about access, correction, or deletion, email support@onappeal.org. Some records may need to be retained for security, integrity, or other required purposes.

Security

We use administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect case information and limit access. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure, so submit only information reasonably needed for the review and keep case-specific links private.

Fieldstone, through On Appeal, is not a law firm, does not provide legal advice, and does not identify, preserve, or monitor legal, contractual, appeal, or filing deadlines.
